I think most members of this site have heard of this film but just in case:

From http://restrepothemovie.com/story/

Story

RESTREPO is a feature-length documentary that chronicles the deployment of a platoon of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan's Korengal Valley. The movie focuses on a remote 15-man outpost, "Restrepo," named after a platoon medic who was killed in action. It was considered one of the most dangerous postings in the U.S. military. This is an entirely experiential film: the cameras never leave the valley; there are no interviews with generals or diplomats. The only goal is to make viewers feel as if they have just been through a 90-minute deployment. This is war, full stop. The conclusions are up to you.

It's also being aired in Hi Def, if you have an HD-capable DVR.

I'm with you guys, it did not come to the theater in my town. I've been eagerly awaiting this.

Awesome! Thanks for the heads-up! Got the DVR set for the next showing. I read the book and have passed it on to a couple of my buds. It's an outstanding study on combat from many perspectives. Been WAITING for the documentary ever since...

And YES on the HDTV! :)

Received a PM asking to post the following:

Due to the post requirement I can not reply to your thread. I would appreciate if you would post this for me.

I don't know if it is available for everyone, but I watched this around 1PM today on National Geographic Channel HD On-Demand, hours before it was supposed to premiere tonight. If you miss the premiere or don't want to wait, check your free On Demand stations.

Watched it last night. Powerful stuff. I'm amazed the film crew was given that level of access.
