Looking for the best made sling mount for behind receiver location on an 870.
Thoughts?
The gun is already set up for a two point sling with front and rear qd's,
but I'd like to add some versatility with a single point mount.
I'm thinking HK hook point for a single point sling I already have.

Does anyone make a behind receiver plate that will add a QD socket?

ETA:
I found this MI product. Anyone know why this would be recommended for pistol grip sg's only?
(I'm waiting on official response)
If I got this one, I'd have to cut the right side flat...

I also found this one from Tactical Shotgunner, any experience with these?

ETA(again):
I now have a MESA unit inbound to test out. Curious if it will interfere with the sixth shell in the carrier.

As for HK hook points, I'm looking at these two:

Hmmm... don't know what the best is, but the options are pretty interesting.

It would depend on what you plan on doing with the shotgun.

If you're a primary entry team member your needs will differ from a guy setting up a Home Defense shotgun.

I prefer a 2 point sling set up. Given the choices you've presented I'd go with the (MI) with the conventional web sling single side mount.

It doesn't stick out like the QD models, (eliminating snag hazard) and you can use a standard 2 point sling with it.

Should be a good all around mount.

I have a GG&G mount, and it works very well.

GG&G is GTG.

UPDATE on this one.

The MESA unit will interfere with the rearmost shell in a six shell side saddle. Mesa said it would work, but I feel this would only work if I only used 5 shells. It's for sale in the EE. Should work great with no saddle, and possibly the four shell.

Tactical Shotgunner unit inbound.

I use a GG&G HK style loop and use my Magpul MS2 sling with it...it rocks....and I like that I can use the same sling for my rifle so the feeling is similar for training purposes.

I also like the GG&G sling mount but instead of a hook I use an O.S.O.E. 550 cord sling adapter for attachment, very low profile.

I went with this on my 870: http://shopwilsoncombat.com/Burnsed-Loop-Right-Hand-Rem-870/productinfo/SGBL/ :)

Tactical Shotgunner piece is in. Looks like this may be the ticket after some grinding and refinishing. We'll see how she turns out.

Oh, and if anyone is interested, the TSG is rotation limited, the Mesa is not. Also note the painted finish on the TSG is not very durable. The right side QD cup is coming off, it interferes with my normal grip.
