How do you pull part of a quote out of someone's post without having to repost the whole quote?

quote it, remove what you don't want but leave the html codes.

You'll either need to quote the whole post and then delete out the text you don't want, or you can select and copy the specific text you want, and then use the "[q]" button in the message window to create a new quote and paste that into a reply. That won't include the original poster's name and a link back to the post, like the board generated quote, though.

Also you can use the "+" next to the quote button to tag several posts and quote them all together in one reply, not directly an answer but another useful tidbit.

Much appreciated from both replies. I was close, but just not getting my finger on exactly what to do.
