I did it with a couple in a pinch, but I wouldn't use them outside of a training environment. I used a heat gun to heat them up and then put the Glock mags in them overnight. As the temperature changes to colder they shrink and can get tight. You're better off just buying or trading for the correct pouches.

I modded a few for my G19, just cut out the velcro inserts and glue gunned the inserts inside the pouch. So far so good...
