I am replacing my OE 9" handrail with a TRX 11" battlerail. I will need to remove my front sight to do so, I have purchased a troy low profile gas block to replace my FS....now my question...in looking at the gas block the hole for the gas line tubing goes all the way through the GB, I had assumed it would would only have one opening for the gas tube, since the hole is all the way through I obviously have made a mistake in my thinking. is there a 'termination' or gas out only type GB I need. any help appreciated!

From looking at that gb on skd tactical, the hole does not go all the way through. There are two blind holes drilled on each end. One for the gas tube, another to reduce weight.

It goes indeed go all the way through, I will just have to take the front sight/gas block off to see how it fits.

thanks for the reply

I see a pretty clear shoulder here, or do you have a different gb?

I just had my barrel apart to install a free float rail, but I can't remember if the gas tube is sealed at the end.

The gas tube IS sealed. It doesn't matter if your gas block has an open or closed end.

that occurred to me yesterday as the only explanation, not ever having seen that end of the GT I somehow pictured it as open ended:o.

thanks for the replies
