Guys,

I've never used a carbon scraper, but I've done three carbine classes since May and I'm getting tired of how long it takes me to use cotton swabs to clean the inside of the BC.

Thoughts?

Stop worrying over it. Blast it with non chlorinated brake cleaner every thousand rounds or so.

Also, yes they are evil.

I'm generally not a fan of carbon scrapers because it's generally a non-issue. If I'm going to be storing an AR for an extended period of time I'll clean it really well removing as much carbon as possible and lubing with BreakFree CLP to keep it from rusting/corroding.

Currently I'm T&E'ing all three sizes of the Multi-Tasker tools. Their carbon scraper design is nice, easy to use and doesn't damage the gas rings or anything.
