M&P, slide side to side play

I have a little side to side play in the my slide, about a mm or less. I was wondering if this was normal.

makes room to let crud and debris out.

Mine does too and it shoots just fine. Almost done with the 2000 rd challenge through that gun.

Both of mine have it also and it hasn't caused me any problems.
