DHS has implemented a new "report on your neighbor" program.

My first action under this new program will be to report Janet N. and John Pistole for un-American activities and for trampling on the 4th Amendment.

This sounds like what Nazis did when occupying Italy during WWII. They had all kinds of snitches squealing on their neighbors, usually out of old grudges rather than real evidence of "crimes."
Irish, you are right about Orwell here, this is a lot like the way big Brother in 1984 had even family members as spies on all citizens (If you are divided against your neighbors you won't unite against the govt).

This isn't any different than WE-TIP or Crime watch type of hotlines IMO. Only difference I see is that they are using Wal-Mart as a vehicle to distribute fear and distrust of your fellow man. Bad call on Wal-Mart corporate. Even bigger mistake by DHS.

Huh!? Never knew my head agency was doing those. So what exactly are they suppose to "report"? I think I missed the specific reasons what are they going to "report".
