Does anyone know what the spring in the SCAR 16S factory mag is made of. The body is obviously alum., and the follower is the magpul gen III follower. But can't place what the spring is. SS? CS?

Don't know. Either spring in a SCAR would be more than adequate. The SCAR runs slower than an M4 so any mag that works in an M4 will work as far as keeping up with bolt velocity just fine.

The real SCARs (used by the US Military) have steel mags much like FNCs.
