Saw this on another forum and thought I'd look into it a bit.

It appears to be a stock that allows for controlled bumpfiring. Yes, I realize it's not all that practical, but it could be a much cheaper way to experience full auto rates of fire than going NFA. It's a bit spendy, but I thought I'd see what other people thought about it.

SLIDEFIRE (http://stores.slidefiresolutions.com/-strse-3/SSAR-dsh-15/Detail.bok)

It also appears they have an BATF letter approving of the devise.

Your thoughts?

(again, I realize it's a bit gimmicky, but I like to shoot full autos from time to time and renting them has already cost me way more than this device costs.)

I'm sceptical this won't be "akinned".

the atf tested the part alone (that they then installed).... I wonder what would happen if they submitted the part ON AN AR15 to the tech branch.

ATF letters have shown themselves in the past to be worth less than the paper they are written on.

In addition, individuals will learn new rhythmic shooting styles that will add new enjoyment and excitement to the sport of shooting firearms.

LOL :p

The only chance this device has over the Atkins is that it is not spring loaded.

I am also very skeptical but wish them the best of luck.

I wish them luck but as a 07/02 I dont see these flying off the shelfs, I wouldnt be suprised to see the Adkins episode repeated on this device.

If I'm not mistaken, there was a post in the AR section about another similar device that also had an ATF letter of approval.

I ve bought the slidefire stock, haven't put it on my ar yet cause I'm building a diff lower so I can put it on either of my AR's.
But have shot my buddy's , I really like it.

Not to crazy about the look, that's one reason it's not goin on either of my AR's full-time ... But it will be fun to slap on just to have fun once in awhile

My local gunstore has them for under $300 and has sold more than 160 of them.

Not really of interest to me, but I did see a guy that got his to work on his M&P 15-22. That would be fun.

Love the cackling granny at the end of the video :haha:

I can think of a shit ton of other things I'd rather spend $300+ on.

I got one when they first came out, I've tried it, and it's sloppy junk. It's nothing more than a crappily made, overpriced, bump firing toy.

But it let's you wildly spray dirt berms quicker than on semi-auto!!!!!1111

The shop I work at sells these things. We're selling them at $399.00 and we've already sold enough of them to arm a large trailer park.

People come in and want an AR-15, they won't buy a 500 dollar Aimpoint because they would rather "save $100 and get a bump fire stock." ****ing idiots.
