I heard it from he who wears a Tactical Yellow Visor.

1st heard of it when you emailed me to check it out.

It popped up on Google when I was doing research for building my SBR. I don't even remember what particular info I was searching for, but I instantly knew I had found the right place.

I should hand out business cards when I recommend this site or to G&R Tactical:
"tell 'em the tactical yellow visor sent you".
I found it through google. I'm glad I did. :D
Grant,
I stumbled on M4C while surfing for rifle information and online vendors.

Found out about it in the 15 minutes that the "What happened to G&R Tactical?" thread was up on TOS.
I also learned about M4C on TOS on a thread where the mod hadn't gotten to it yet.
Figured if it was causing that much consternation must be worth having a look.
Going back and reading TOS now is an eye-opener.

The Google thing is amazing to me. I would have thought that most would come via word of mouth or print ads.

I found it because it went up when the G&R forum was being taken down.

Oh, it did tell me something.
BTW- looking forward to that S&W M&P 45! :D
Notice on G&R Tactical site.
Found out about it on GT just before your demise there.... Shame on you for giving out good advice!
Found out about it on another site, I think it might have been arfcom, but I'm not sure. There was a link in a post to a similar post here. Arfcom kinda ticked me off by not accepting my email address as "good enough" for them, just because it's a yahoo address. I've only visited there a few times, but since I registered here, don't even find a reason to go there anymore. Used to almost live on GT, but their BS level is high enough I don't much go there, either.

Grant and the whole flashlight ordeal thread on TOS. This place is more straight forward/informative as TOS is more not straight forward/not informative.

I first found one of the print ads, but have since found links via google and other sites. This is the place to be as far as I can tell for honest and TRUE information.
I heard about it on TOS (which I have since abandoned completely)about the same time the G&R forums went under.
Found this site from my Deputy buddy. Its been the best thing I've found in a long time. I real appreciate the help from everybody on this site. Its been alot of help.
Thanks Guys

PS. THIS is the best AR-15 forum out there. Ever one know so much more than other forum.

This site was referenced on the 6.5 Grendel forum as the key place for quality information on the ar-15 / m4 platform. Thus, I stumbled upon this site in its first month of operation and lurked for a long time.

SGN ads are pricey and it is really hard to tell how many lurkers come to the site from that ad.

How about another catagory I believe I heard about the site in last years Book of th AR-15.
I own it :D

Allow me to introduce myself...
I'm "TheGhostRider". My avatar is a picture of the "Ghost" AKA "My 800lb girlfriend".:D
I'm also a member in good standing of the "AK forum" of which "Templar" is a staff member.
My AK forum user name is "1jackal".
I'm also a member in good standing of "TOS forum".
My "TOS" forum user name is also "1jackal".
I spend my time in the (Indiana) hometown forum on "TOS" as it's pretty tame in there. I do have positive feedback in EE for anyone here needing reference's
at a later date. I know "Wilson" personally as well who is a moderator in the "TOS" Indiana forum.
I've been lurking the M4C forum for some time reading through multiple threads to judge the quality of the content and participants here on M4C.
I'm very impressed with M4C!!!:)
The level of respect that I see for each other here on M4C is refreshing!
The ability to voice different opinions and even have disagreements without the conversation degrading into a name calling pissing match shows a level of maturity that is lacking "elsewhere".
The level of technical knowledge of everyone here is also phenomenal.
My personal experience with the AR platform goes back about 20 years.
I'm NO EXPERT!!!:)
About the time I start thinking I know everything I need to know I become humbled by how much I don't know. There's always room to learn more.
That's why I love the AR platform!!!
I do prefer to build my own and to date only have one that is a "factory" rifle.
To me building our own is 99.9% of the enjoyment....
I have discovered one problem building my own though.......
THERE'S TO DARN MANY OPTIONS!!!
And never enough money!:D

I just built my first AR and a arfcom member suggested I make sure my bolt carrier keys were properly staked. I had no idea what he was talking about, I googled the term, and found this site in the search results. Much to my surprise and delight VA Arms Co, my FFL, was all over the bolt staking threads and I took my upper to Robb who took 10 minutes and $10 to stake my keys. I immediately joined!:D
I was searching Google for an alternative to "The Other Site". ;)

Google ... and I found it not a moment too soon, because even though I rarely spent any time at ARFCOM, I had rapidly come to the conclusion that it was not the sort of resource I was looking for. 10-8 was/is on the other end of the spectrrum, thankfully, but not nearly as narrowly focused. It was clear that something was missing ... I just didn't realize that M4CN was already up and filling the gap.

Not so much as from another internet site as I tripped over it by accident using a search engine.
Went a couple of weeks without getting into a flame war with VA-Dinger, so went looking for him and found this place.
