590A1 barrel question

Can a 28"field barrel from a model 500 fit on a 590A1 reciever? Thanks in advance.

Yes, but you will have to change the mag tube as well.

Scotty, If you have a 18" 590A1 you can place a hunting 835 barrel on it, just don't try to put 3.5" shells in it. If you have the 20" models then it won't work with out changing the mag tube out. That said you can find 835's around cheap enough I would just pick one up if you need a hunting shotgun.
