EOTech Magnifier

Shooting a Spikes Tactical ST-15 M4 Carbine with a EOTech 517.A65 and Magpul Gen 1 backup sight. Considering purchase of EOTech G23 FTS 2nd Gen Magnifier. Has anyone had experience with this setup? Due to expense of G23, I want to make sure it actually will clear flip-up site in down position.

I know it clears the MBUS if the magnifier is mounted on the included 7mm riser, but the 517 is absolute co-witness so you won't be using the riser for the magnifier. It's going to be close.

Found a deal on Magnifier so gonna give it a shot (pun intended). Will post results.

Picked up EOTech G23 today and with 7mm riser co-witnessed perfectly with EOTech 517. Apparently the 517 included a riser. Clearance of MBUS was not an issue. G23 Gen2 mount is rock solid.
