I am wondering if anyone has experience with the Chiappa 1911 .22. I know it is an extremely low end product. That being said, is it reliable or does it jam? Can it keep 10 shots in 3 inches at 25 yards?

The intended use is for a kid who will shoot the hell out of it. I actually need to buy 3, which is why the more expensive ones are a bit painful to contemplate.

Thanks!

I would look into a Ruger MKII or III, a firearm that jams is never a good one for a kid, and the Chiappa has the cards working against it in that regard. That awkward exchange of a jammed gun from a learner is never easy and trying to have them work through the jam can be even worse if not unsafe.

The Quinn brothers at Gun Blast give it a two thumbs up. www.gunblast.com/chiappa1911-22.htm

IIRC Chiappa is Hi-Point. We've sold a few in the store and stopped due to 100% of them we've had failed in to work.

If you want a .22 1911 I first suggest a Ruger MkII 22/45 or a MkIII 22/45 or a real 1911 with a Kimber .22 kit.
