I'd look for some of the 5 or 8 rd magazines Colt shipped with their guns during the ban.

I might have a few in the basement, I'll check when I get a chance.

www.midwestpx.com

The owner Ty converts Pmags to run 10 rounds for guys in Cali. I bet he could convert them to run 5 rounds. Give him a shout. His prices are very reasonable too.

Being Canadian and stuck with only 5 rounds mags (unless we use 10 rnd AR Pistol mags), can you not convert your own? Just asking don't know your actual rules. Here we just put five rounds in and drill below the follower and put a pop rivet in. We can even buy Pmags that have this done. Best part you can easily return them to original capacity.

I have a couple C Products 5 rounders that have run fine for me. I have read where other people had problems with them so you milage may vary.

I have a couple of the 10rd C-Products magazines and they've worked great for me.

You'll find their 5-rd mags here in stock as of this posting...

Thanks for the input.I never thought about taking my Pmags and making them so they only hold 5 rounds.

When I went hunting this past fall I used this mod to turn a 20 round P-mag into a 5 rounder. I know this is fine for Michigan but you might want to check on your local hunting laws to make sure.

+1 for Midwest PX as well.

I have 4 20 round PMags made to 15 rounds and 4 30 round PMags made to 15 rounds to keep NJ Legal and they work 100%. Never had a single issue.

Love em.

Ty over at MidwestPX may be able to help you, but dont hate him if he cant.

You can try buying some 20rd PMAGs, then putting a length of dowel into the bottom to keep it from holding more than 5 if you want.

I can definitely give it a shot (BTW, I'm Ty, the owner of MidwestPX.com) if you want a 5/20. Alot of hunters who have been buying my limited capacity mags like the original stubby because it's flush with the magwell and doesn't attract as much attention from DNR. The curved stubbys are also a ready-to-go option and are about as tall as a standard 20rd mag however due to the curve, are easier to handle.

By the by, I appreciate all the kind words, guys!

My 5 round C mags fed just fine, but never locked back.
