Colt 6920 Optics question

Just a question about mounting some optics on a 6920. Would like to know if an EOtech 517 with EOtech G23 magnifier and a Troy rear battle site would fit on the sock rail? Is it long enough?

I believe he was asking if it fit on the 6920, not the 6940. In short yes it does fit. My apeal to the 517 was that I could place it as far forward as I could on the flat top rail and it still cleared the plastic handguards. It is a tight fit, but it doesnt matter since the buttons are on the side anyways. The only difference when I had this setup was that I was running an ARMS#40l BUIS.

By the way that 517 is up for sale since it has been replaced by an XPS, PM me if interested. It had maybe not even 300 rounds through it, looks new, not a single scratch on it! Great optic, love how batteries were easy to find for it anywhere.

Thanks for the offer on the 517 but I decided to go with the 557. Does your ARMS#40l BUIS fit under your magnifier or did you need to get riser for it?

My G23 came with a FTS mount which included the 7mm riser, you will need the riser if used in conjuction with raised eotechs such as the 517. The magnifier cleared the ARMS #40l with room to spare.
