Here is posting from an IP controlled by TSA:

It was posted on the We Won't Fly traveler's blog which complains about invasive TSA security "procedures".

Out of curiosity, anyone know entry-level pay for TSA new hires? Do they start at full-time or is this one of those gigs where you have to start part-time with no real benefits? Anyone have a quick synopsis of what the education, age, prior experience, and training requirements might be?

I don't know, but there was a post on that site saying TSA gets 14.50 per hour.

We may disagree on poop in the back yard, but I'm with you 100% on this.

Classy...

TSA, like so much of government, is excellent at providing the superficial appearance of safety.

They don't even do that.

We are cattle to be processed folks.

The use of full-body scanners and invasive pat-downs at airports around the U.S. will not change for the "foreseeable future," Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said in an interview broadcast Sunday.

yeah.. i think it's basically an hourly gig. I had a friend who worked TSA for awhile. (a real good guy actually, i know he was doing his best to screen for real threats while being polite and professional for the rest of us) I think pay and benefits were about average.
