Where to buy ammo in bulk and shoot it on Oahu? [Archive]

I'm newly stationed out here and regrettably, haven't shot in months. I need to knock off the rust. Is there a good place to get ammo locally or am I best off going online and paying the shipping premium? What's a good range on Oahu to train at?

It's been awhile since I've been home on Oahu. For long range[wise] shooting outdoors, probably Puuloa?

Your best bet for bulk local ammo is OGC Tactical. They usually have specials going for ammo.

As far as shooting goes, you don't have much choice if you aren't military or leo. The owner of Kaneohe Gun Shop runs a good training class at Koko Head each month. The good thing about his classes is that you are allowed more freedom than the normal range.

if I remember correctly isnt there a Gun Club out near sandys beach??

I know the Army bases didnt have anything for POW's, not sure if KBay did or didnt

I go to the Koko head range. Its free and gets the job done, just wish they let you go look at your targets sooner. The 30-40 min wait kills.

Bummer, was hoping I'd find some place cheaper then OGC, but no luck I guess.
