View Full Version : First time stippling on a PMAG... thoughts?
I am preparing for the arrival of my new M&P9c by practicing stippling on PMAGs. I always liked the look and decided now was a good time to try it. Last night I grabbed a mag and went to town. I go slowed than most, and it took me around 2 hours to do the magazine. Let me know what you think.

I was going for more of a "grip tape" look with the stippling. For the job, I used a $10 soldering iron I got from Walmart.

well done.
I like...
I've done a few Glock frames... I use a nice soldering iron, with a bullet point tip. I push upwards, in the direction that I want the stippling to go... and like you said... I go SLOW.
Once you have done a few, it's really not that bad. Now that you have the knack... find a Glock owner, and tackle their grips. They will love you for it!
Nice job Brother!

Nice job Brother!
My brother has a Glock, but he already did his own. I'll be fine doing the rest of my PMAGs and my M&Ps when I finally get them.
Nice job - very well done!!
Very nice! Imagine the cash Magpul would rake in by releasing pre-stippled PMAGs, similar to yours.

I'd wait for this. :D
OP, very nice clean job you did there.
It looks great! I would give you a 12-pack to do a few of mine if I lived near by! Good Job! :)
Very nice! Stippling on your M&P will be well worth your time and effort.
Have you actually had trouble grabbing mags or gripping any of your guns that warrants this? If so was it with or without gloves?
Nice...
I was going to buy some grip tape and cut to fit...bought a soldering iron instead...
I've never found Pmags to be too slick in the first place.
Nice job! It looks very professional and consistent on spacing. PM me your address I'll send mine over so you can practice some more :sarcastic:

Niether have I. I've always liked the way they look and the way I figure, PMAGs are cheaper than an M&P9 if I screw up on my first couple times.
