Does anyone have any experience with Dynamit Nobel ammo, specifically 9mm? I see it's brass cased with a mild steel jacket on the bullet itself. Are there any issues with this steel affecting the pistol... feed ramp, barrel, etc. I understand those parts of a pistol will be made with stronger steel than the bullet itself, but I was just curious if it would add any undue stress to a pistol. Thanks.

So no one has any experience with this brand of ammo?

Dynamit Nobel's ammunition companies (Geco, RWS, Rottweil/Brenneke) all produced good stuff. I believe that all or most of them are now owned by RUAG.

Dynamit Nobel traces its history back to Alfred Nobel, the inventor of dynamite.

Concur, and all of it tends to be quite expensive.

Of the two brands which deal primarily with centerfire rifle and pistol ammunition, RWS is the flagship line (on par with Norma), and Geco is the cheaper -- but still high-end by our standards -- underbrand. I used all of the above, usually in 8mm Mauser (7.92x57) for boar hunting in Germany. Generally speaking, you don't find much "white box" type ammo there, as the primary application is hunting, and that is taken very seriously.

I've shot many thousands of rounds of the 9mm GECO ammunition with excellent results.

I remember the good old days when it was $4 per 50 rds...;)

ETA: If you are into reloading, the GECO brass is excellent stuff as well.

I have also fired many of those brands when I lived in Europe. I can honestly say it was as good if not better than most of the stuff we have here in the U.S.

Thanks for the info, guys. I guess I'll try a couple of boxes in 9mm.

This is the best deal on 9mm training ammo I've been able to find. Just bought a case myself.

Make that 4 cases of Dynamit and a case of Speer GD :)

Maybe the price on that stuff will go up soon since the FBI is not saying the Geco is rare armor piercing ammo made in Germany. Laughable right....:suicide2:

Ammo to go kicks ass! My order's been processed, packaged and I have tracking numbers already. Good to see a company that's really on top of things.

I shot some DN .380 ACP that performed well. Was loaded on the hot side, but I liked that. I'd buy it again.

I shot about 1500 rounds of GECO in a recent class with no problems. My ammo was getting wet and dirty and I didn't experience any ammo related failures. I bought the ammo from ammunitiontogo.com and would buy it again next time I take a class.
