Not the paper kind :D

Hopefully not too stupid of a question, but is it okay to keep a few loaded magazines just laying out on my bed headboard thing for emergencies? They are exposed to whatever conditions my bedroom may present (air through an open window etc), so I am wondering how long the ammo loaded in them will last (M855). M855 is supposed to have sealed bullets and primers, right?

Sorry I misread the title ;)

I always keep a spare pistol mag in very easy reach of the bed and have never had any problems. Course I swap out themag every month or so.

I would doubt that the ammo would be affected much at all. Even without sealed primers/bullets, mild humidity from an open window wouldn't spoil ammo that soon, would it?

Hmm, thanks for the replies so far.

I was just thinking; if the primer and bullet are sealed, then the ammunition should be fine as long as the brass looks alright, correct?
