Well, I sent off my Form 1 to register another lower so I could put my KINO upper on it. That left me with my original Form 1'd Lower that is registered for a 10.5in upper.

I still had the 16in barrel, upper, carry handle, and A2 gas block from my very first original M4gery(don't mock me, I bought it before I knew this site was here) Bushmaster. Lucky me, one of the top gunsmiths in Indiana happens to be family, so I dropped off the 16in barrel, and magically a week later, I had a 10.5in barrel.

After an order to BravoCompanyUSA, I had the parts to finish putting the upper back together.

To me, this is my idea for a KISS Rifle, except I don't have a Optic for it yet, haven't decided what I want. Ive had EOTech's and a CompM2 in the past. Id like to try a H1, but well, thats outta my budget for this build, so Im debating on just keeping it as is.

So, enough with the rambling, on to the sexiness(well, sexy to me at least).

Nice and simple!

A DD fixed rear and H-1 would top that off very nicely.

I like it.

It may be a Bushmaster, but its always shot good. Especially now that I have a BCM BCG in it, and a H2 Buffer. Shoots reliably, and since it doesnt get fed anything over 64gr the 1/9 is all I need

You should keep it as is. I think there's something to be said for a nice little simplistic rifle. I should mention though that I've been on a bit of a K.I.S.S. kick over the last couple of months and am a little biased. :)

Out of curiosity, how much does it weigh?

Looks really nice! I would just slam a white light on there and call it good!

By the way, I live near Anderson, IN. A couple years ago when I was still in high school we went to Decatur numerous times for drum core competitions. Nice to see another Hoosier on this site!

Seems like you addressed the major reliability/durability issues with the Bushy bty installing the BCM BCG and H2 buffer. Other than a possibly out of spec chamber (which does not seem to be an issue with yours) I would have no problem carrying it into harms way.

My favorite carbine is a BCM upper over a Bushy lower. I have all the faith in the world in that gun.

Lookin' good!! I'm a fan of simple setups myself. Also, I like your green one too.

If an H1 is out of your budget, MidwayUSA is having a clearance sale on R1s...

An R1, IWC TMC 1" light holder, and a G2 led would round that out righteously and be about as KISS as you can get and still be very, very functional.

Looks great! Handy, light, easy to use, and nothing that takes more than a few minutes to learn. What's not to like?

That's what I'm sayin'! I'm starting to like the MOE handguards as well. I wasn't very fond of them at first but I'm starting to warm up to them, basically for the same reasons you mentioned above. What's not to like?!

Nice setup. You should consider the R-1 and duracoat it black:

I like the fact that you didn't just sell the upper receiver and instead turned it into a workable platform by installing a good BCG and buffer, and then cutting it down to a length of your liking. Looks really good!

Well, its having issues now.

Here's a link to the thread, if everyone could help me solve the problems, Id love to not have to get a new 10.5in barrel....
