I'm looking for a new grip pod for my 5.56mm Rock River Arms rifle. So far I'm leaning toward this GPS01SAW:

Does anyone have experience with the GPS01SAW and like it? Or does anyone have recommendations for another grip pod? Thanks!

There is a poster on Glocktalk.com selling them for $65.00 new, I think they might also be here in the EE for the same price.

I use one on my scoped AR, it excels on that platform and is more functional than a bipod.

Yes I have one, I use off and on. I agree it is better than a Bipod at least for me. I do find its length to be bothersome once and awhile. But thats the great part or the AR system modularty. The GP is quick disconect so, If its getting in the way I just pop it off and stick it in a pouch.

I have a sneaking suspicion most people here will tell you not to mess with them. Personally, I loved the one I was loaned for a class.

Spend your cash however you want, but I have more than a little experience with issued Grip Pods, and I prefer to buy my own VFGs instead of having them on my work guns.

For $240 I would rather buy a good bipod (one that has cant and slew) instead of that.

By the way, these have been discussed several times. Try out the search function.
