LIGHTWEIGHT ones? It's for the wifey and from past experience, I need to go as light as possible without SBR...
My bad... I put LIGHTWEIGHT in title, but not in text...

I looked all around as well, ended up going with a DD from Grant. Heck, he is building a whole upper for me based around the DD barrel. G&R Tactical is GTG!
I just bought a barrel from Grant. The price was similar to buying direct from DD with their LE discount, plus I could go ahead and get it with a .625 lo pro gasblock, which has been the hardest part for me to find. Throw in his shop being one of the few places I could find a BC 1.5 in stock and it was a no-brainer.
try CMMG.
I had one from them, no complaints aside from the gas key was not staked to my liking.
<--------- Impatiently waiting for more BCM lightweight 14.5 carbines and middies.

^^This.
You hear me, BCM? I've got money I've been waiting to give ya for weeks!:sarcastic:
Centurion Arms has some lightweight 14.5 barrels and uppers available I believe. They are not a "Pencil" profile, but are right in-between a pencil profile and a govt profile. You can get them stripped or either with a low-profile gas block or a fixed FSB.
Centurion Arms has M16A2 Government profile, same as the BCM's which are in stock.
We have DD barrels in stock.

Problem solved. Buy now, be happy.
Aside from the DanielDefense from G&R (Have one, it's great), there is Centurion as well. Not sure how many Monty has in stock, but those are good barrels too.
Rainier Arms has some. As to LW, I don't know.
I bought a 14.5 from Centurion and have been impressed by the preliminary accuracy displayed. I already had a DD 16 pencil middie and a BCM 14.7(cut down) pencil middie. I didn't write down the weight but seem to remember that the 14.7 was about 2 ozs. lighter than the 16 and that the Centurion was about 2 ozs. heavier. As we've seen about 4 ozs. difference between Govt. and pencil this would seem about right as the Centurion is not a pencil.
BCM sent me an email last month and said that they are expecting the LW uppers to be in stock sometime around Feb.

Good news! Hopefully they'll have them in stock long enough for me to snag one... but with the popularity of the 14.5" middy, we'll see... :sarcastic:

Murphy's Law... Just as I have the dough to get my wife's LW built up, her Mini Cooper pops a coolant leak... I hope it is warranty...
LW build on hold...

A man who allows his wife to purchase a Mini Cooper does not DESERVE a LW AR15.:cool::cool:

A wise man once told me that the only thing worse than a BMW owner was a mini owner, because they THINK they own a BMW:haha:

Oh, such HATE from the right! Such MINI hate... LOL!
Heck, it was I who wanted her to have the Mini... Drives like a race car, has a SUPERCHARGED engine that hauls butt, a covertible top, and 35+ miles per gallon... And my fat a$$ fits in it nicely...

Allows me to enjoy the country drives like on a motorcycle but without the CARNAGE I too often have seen with motorcycle accidents...
But good news, leaky thermostat under warranty by BMW... bwahhaaaaa... So build is back on soon...
