Looks like it would be good for the WC crowd but wouldn't last a day in the BC work force or a second in conditions that Magpul products are typically in.

This case, being a Magpul product and listed as a field case not an office cubicle case should toe the line with the Otterbox Defender and it's doesn't even come close.

Do you already have one of these cases and is that your initial or final review? Also, you just compared a $10 dollar case to a $35 dollar case.

WC crowd? BC work force?

I don't really understand what you are trying to say. What exactly are you expecting your case to do?

Do you have one now or are you just speculating as to what you believe it will and will not do?

*The Magpul Field Case for the iPhone 3G and 3GS* is a semi-rigid cover designed to provide basic protection in the field.

The otter box cases are strong no doubt, however I find them retarted big. They totally ruin what would otherwise be a sleek little phone. I already have one of these on order.

Dropping a glass-front smart phone like an iPhone on a corner can break the glass. Cases like Magpul's "Field Case", or whatever you name it, make damage from that kind of blow less likely. For $10, I have one on order too. All I need now is an iPhone.

I ordered two of these cases last week. No word from Magpul as to when they will be available.

Are the 3g cases shipping?

Disappointing on the availability.

I'm impressed; especially for the asking price. If anything, the new 4G case is even more impressive than my old 3Gs case, and although I can't even begin to address questions of availability (just received the 4G case yesterday), I can at least attest to the fact that they are proving to be worth the wait.

At $10, both the Magpul and the Noveske cases are great bargains. They're every bit as good as the $25 - $30 cases at the AT&T store. I still don't have the Magpul case but the Noveske case is very high quality.

ssracer, that is for a 3g? How long did it take to receive it after ordering?

Got mine yesterday, ordered 1/14. Overall it is a nice case if the mold gate removal didnt remove a decent chunk out of the case.

Yeah, 3G/3Gs.

Ordered on 1/14, shipped on 1/19 and was delivered yesterday, so just over a week.

I received my 3G case today, my 4G case is still in the pipeline.

Even without the official kewl-guy Magpul logo, it's a very good case. The molding is very precise, and it feels good in the hand. Not too slick, not too sticky. It's the same material as the original Magpuls.

The overall size is spot-on. It does not add as nearly as much bulk as my Otterbox case, which I stopped using. The biggest deal with it was the belt clip, it kept popping out.

Hmac and AC are right, this is a very good case for $10.

Just an FYI, I ordered two iPhone 4 cases last Friday and I received a shipping confirmation today.

I like my case, it is a great value, but it did nothing for my split times. In an attempt to improve it, I believe I have knocked 0.30 seconds off my draw and ~0.15 seconds off my splits.

OK, I got a Verizon iPhone 4 yesterday. Both the Magpul and Noveske case fit it perfectly, something I wondered about because the ring/silent switch is located differently than on the AT&T iPhone 4. Not a problem, as it turns out.

The Magpul iPhone 4 case is very nice material, but it's very subtle in its design. It's not a designer/logo case like the Noveske, or even like the Magpul iPhone 3GS case. Its just a very functional, understated black case, although a real bargain for $10.

Agreed. I added one to an order on sort of a whim, but I'm really happy with the case. The texture and size are perfect. Fit is good, and the buttons for sleeping/volume are the best feeling enclosed buttons I've had on any case.

My favorite iphone 4 case I've used so far.

I had wondered how long it would take before someone decided to stipple their phone case. Looks like I didn't have to wait long. :)
