Just a quick note to tell you what I saw today, if you're interested:

-Glock will soon be selling Gen4 "adapters" in 2mm and 4mm with a built in beavertail. Hmmmm - sound familiar? The quote I heard was, "we'll kill the Grip Force guy dead if we offer these from the factory."
--These adapters basically mimic the "medium" and "large" grip adapters on the current Gen4s, but with the addition of a nicely contoured beavertail. So, while you get the beavertail, you do not get any real change in the grip angle, like you do with the GFA
--These will only be sold as an accessory. Currently they only have them for full size 9/40 grips (17/22/34/35), but they expect to have them for the others soon. The guestimated price for the pair of adapters was in the $20ish range - though I couldn't get a firm answer if that was per adapter, or for the set...

-There was also some back and forth about a "Gen3.5" 9mm family that will have the 3rd Gen upper with a grip that features the molded beavertail permanently installed

-Gen4 34 will be on the market in a couple of weeks, followed shortly by the Gen4 G21

-The Glock carbine is yet to be seen...or discussed

More to follow.

Kevin

They are probably just waiting until the end of the show to unveil the Carbine.:D

Thanks Kevin! Glock rarely shakes the world at SHOT - maybe never but this is interesting enough. First word on the net about the Gen 4 G21 I think. Kudos on all those scoops. ;)

Thanks for the news Kevin..

I just paid for a G21Sf a few hours ago and pick it up tomorrow.. I am glad they are making the G21 gen4 but I don't have any interest in the other gen4 versions so I knew i wouldn't really have an interest in the 21 version. The only thing I like about the gen4's is the new mag-catch.

Great news on the G21 Gen 4. I like my G21SF with the TalonGrips traction wrap, but I have a feeling that the Gen 4 grip on the G21 is going to really bring the model to it's fullest potential... by providing a smaller, high-traction grip that a great many more people will appreciate. I think Gen 4 is going to take what has been a very good full-size, high-capacity (14-shot) .45 and make it into a GREAT one. Can't wait to hold one and see how it feels!

G31Gen4 is out and has been for a couple of months.

Good news! I'm waiting for a Gen 4 G33. That with the Gen 4 G26 and G27 rollouts means we'll probably see one in the coming months.

I really want to see a Glock 17 with a Gen3 upper, and Gen4 lower. Including ''RTF3'' grip, and magazine catch.

I could care less about the beaver-tail... actually wouldn't it interfere with a CTC laser?... bastards.

I really want to see a Glock 17 with a Gen3 upper, and Gen4 lower. Including ''RTF3'' grip, and magazine catch. That has been my thought all along. The Gen4 frame is an improvement, IMHO - but the double recoil spring setup isn't needed for the 9mm loading...

Nicely done...

I'm in for a Gen4 frame with a Gen3 upper. Or just iron out the fleas in the 9mm Gen4. I have a feeling they wil keep working on the Gen4's.

Thanks for the updates Kevin.
