North Atlantic? Didn't know Japan was in the N. Atlantic.


US subs were stationed as lifeguard subs in the Pacific to pick up bomber crews and saved many lives due to B-29 crews having to bail out or ditch, due to both battle damage and mechanical troubles.

Great find. The odds of him still being alive to see that unique film for the first time after all these years are astronomical.

And it's a superb story.
