While at the Tigerswan 2 day Carbine Course this weekend I managed to break a feedlip on a FDE 30 round PMAG. It was early in the day and the magazine had spent the night in my vehicle and it got down to around 15 degrees that night. The feed lip cracked when I was reloading with the bolt locked to the rear. When I released the bolt I had a double feed so I dropped the mag and went on to a different mag. When the drill was over I inspected the mag at which point I discovered the broken feed lip. Attached are some images of what the crack looks like and also I pushed my finger against it to make it a little more visible.
