I don't know if this is the best place for this, so please move it, if it isn't.

I would like to get a folding BUIS for my M&P 22 that mimics my 6920 setup. I use Troy BUIS but I really don't want to buy a Troy BUIS for my .22 that is over 1/4 cost of the the whole rifle.;)

What folding BUIS are out there that can mimic the Troy BUIS function but would stand up to the "abuse" of a .22?:haha:

Are there Airsoft copies that would work or is there another option?

Keep in mind, this is for a .22 training rifle, not a rifle that is going to see ANY hard use.

Thanks guys.

Why not use an MBUS? Simple problem, simple solution.

MBUS FTW. I wasn't too keen on the notion of plastic sights, but I got the MOE edition MP15-22, and they come on it. I've been quite impressed with the sights. So much so that I'm considering them for my primary AR.

Just get a set of Troy Clones for your .22

I'd go with the MBUS over clones simply to support a company that offers innovation.

The Midwest Industries folding sights are a very similar design, US Made, good materials, and less expensive.

If you want something similar to the Troy's I'd look at these.

My Stag came with a Midwest rear sight, it was my first AR. Since then I replaced it with a LMT fixed rear sight. I would be willing to let go of it for a resonable price, PM me if your interested.

My old man bought some low cost buis from cdnn they were about $25 or $30 a piece-Internet orders in February are about $6 shipping! They are alright. I don't think you'll be going into battle or swampy bogs with your .22 so they would make perfect sense. When I looked at them they appeared to be pretty good quality, excellent for the price. I don't see $100 difference between them and the other brands but that's just me. Also, Brownells has some cheaper ones that are their brand and they used to carry, I think it was double star or something like that and at the dealer price they ran about $30 apiece.

You could also try these ARMS polymer ones from Smartgunner:
