Dammit - and here I sit waiting for a foliage midlength to complete my new build. Feh.

I like them in carbine but the middy and rifle don't do it for me.

Are they really available? Or is it just a placeholder?

There was more press than a new apple product just for the phone cases recently; mass emails, forum posts, etc. Given the vocal contingent out there screaming for the rifle MOEs I have trouble believing Magpul wouldn't be announcing loud and proud that these are shipping to vendors.

Not sure, but I will update here as I get more info if that would be helpful.

Just click "add to cart". :D

I have ordered a fair bit of stuff from DSG. They have always been good to work with, and very fast shippers.

dsg listed the RSA a couple/few days before it was officially released. I am assuming same deal for this.

It's worth a shot  I needed a couple other small odds and ends anyway!

LOKNLOD, I think you will be happy with them. They usually ship things USPS Priority Mail. They usually drop them in the mail the day after you order.

They are in Fort Worth, so you should get your stuff pretty quick.

I've purchased from them in the past, it's just been a while. Honestly I'm in no hurry because I don't actually have an assembled rifle that will accept those handguards. Yet.

Hopefully Stickman's post above is a hint. :D

I really like my carbine and will be looking to get one on a middy soon. I really like the feel of them. If my rifle length didn't have a Miculek carbon fiber tube on it I'd probably look to one of these.

I will have to break my "no new gear" ban to order a set of these for the BCM Dissipator.

I am familiar with some of the AR jargon, like "middy" and such...

But what does "dissy" refer to?

dissipator-16 inch barrel with rifle length handgaurds and FSB but will either have a carbine length or mid length gas system. It allows for a longer sight radius, more reliable cycling and sweet Magpul handgards:dance3:

Dissipator; term used to describe a 16" bbl. upper that can accept a rifle length handguard.

Cool piece, Stick!

Go dissy, go dissy, go dissy... (trying to fuel the BCM fires on this!)

I think the dissy is the cat's meow... but I'll take mine with an A1/A2-style stock, please. Come on BCM!

I wish someone offered a MOE furniture kit at a reduced price that included matching stock, grip, and forend. DSG does (http://dsgarms.com/ProductInfo/MGMIDMOEDE.aspx) but they include the buffer, spring, receiver extension, etc. and I don't want all of those.

I'm using a BCM lightweight middy and the Dissipator upper as training/loaners and I'd like to get some consistency between them both for familiarity but also to quickly identify them in the safe.

I have been resisting asking this question for as long as I can-

How much will a MOE rifle length handguard and service rifle type free float tube weigh?
