My TA31F manual says zero at 36 yds with the 300m post and then verify at 100m with the 100m post. I've used mine with a 16" and 12" barrel and have no issues.

It will work better than you seem to expect. If you have access to a 300 meter range - zero it there. If ends up being a little high at 100, no big deal.

Yep. 0-300m, the difference in how the round prints in relation to your aimpoint is negligible. You'll start seeing differences beyond that, but even then it's simply a matter of knowing your holds.

Also bear in mind that the RCO ACOGs' BDCs are specifically meant for use w/M855. Just be mindful of that when using different ammo, though the differences shouldn't be significant.

Zero it at 100m using the tip of the chevron
or
Zero it at 300m using the tip of the post

While the BDC difference should be minimal you might want to put a WTT ad up for someone with an A4 clone as I think the 20" model is a bit harder to find than the 14.5/16" model.

I have a similar situation. I just picked up a T33 and only have access to a 50m range right now with all the snow. If I sight to tip of chevron at 50 will it be off a lot at 100m?

My A/R table using JBM Ballistics shows a 100M zero to be 0.6" low at 50M. That's with a 77 SMK with scope height at 2.7" above the bore, but should still give you a good estimate.
