What's the deal with the lack of Magpul SHOT 2011 coverage? Did I miss something?

You clearly aren't looking very hard as there are a dozen or more Shot 2011 threads here at M4C and a three times as many on Youtube.

Thanks, I apologize for being the guy who didn't find what he was looking for right where it should be. There was quite a bit more static about Magpul at SHOT last year; it was all you could see on the forums for months. This year most youtube searches bring up airsoft stuff.

Magpul is damned if they do, damned if they don't. For years they came to the show, brought prototypes and other neat stuff, generated a ton of buzz, and then had to listen to everyone complain when a year later they still couldn't buy the neat stuff.

So this year they tried something different, and basically didn't publicly show a single new thing. Now they have to listen to everyone complain that they didn't show anything new.

Personally I like their new model. I'd rather not know about something I can't buy anyway. I'm hoping this trend continues with them not showing new product until they know they are about to release it. With the web and print media companies don't need to count on SHOT every year as their one opportunity to show new stuff.

Rob I agree 100% and personally think Magpul will be better for it. They can take their time without people getting so upset.
