Aimpoint red line question

I recently bought an aim-point comp m4. Sometimes when looking through the sight I see a very faint red line or glare, but it can only be seen in certain light conditions. I dont really notice but still want to know. I know its not electrical, because when I take the batteries out it still happens. I tried to look for info on this, but I was unsuccessful. Please no" call aimpoint" I just want to know if you guys had experienced this and I will call aimpoint when I know enough.

Let me know when you've called Aimpoint and given them first crack at explaining the effect or to make good on what could be a potential device defect...
