I fell into a great deal last week after posting a thread trying to figure out what to do with some spare money from selling a Springfield XDm 9mm. Would you believe I was able to turn the cash from the XDm into this?...

It sure is nice to find a deal on a quality 1911 every once in a blue moon. I will add some different grips (these are on just for the photo's as they live on another 1911). I will black out the bushing and add a STI trigger to "black it out." Springfield's gonna replace the sights under their 10 year warranty, so they should be nice and bright for another 10 years.

The gun is like new. It has hardly any finish wear, the magwell has nary a scratch, and the gun is super tight and smooth. The previous owner added a single sided thumb safety and a one-piece magwell. The barrel has hardly any wear, can't be but a box or two of ammo through this one.

Well said sir.

Is this your first 1911?

If the owner did the thumb safety install himself make sure you check that it is working properly.

Nice gun.

Nope, quite the opposite. I have had a half dozen or so 1911's over the years.

Nice gun.

Thank you for caring. Yes, it does work as it should through all safety tests.

Well then, congrats on the new addition to the stable. She's a beauty. I've always had my eye on the TRP's.
