I need a comparison of the sully stock and UBR.
How much storage space does the sully have VS the UBR?
what position would the UBR have to be in to equal the length of the sully?
Is there a way to use a QD sling swivel with the sully?
Thanks guys

The Sully Stock has no storage space; it is made from solid urethane. QD sling mounts can be inlaid by the manufacturer for a fee. Alternatively, a QD sling mount plate that fits between the stock and lower receiver could be used. Troy makes one, I think.

Don't know much about the UBR, sorry. I think the UBR is heavier.

The UBR is definitely heavier. I found its weight to be too counter-productive for use on a carbine-length weapon. Unless your carbine is front-heavy, all it's going to do is weigh down the rear. It does work rather well on a mid-length rifle with a heavy rail-system, or something like a long-range SPR though. It has a decent amount of storage space, you can easily fit an extra bolt in there or some spare batteries. You won't be able to use an endplate though, as the UBR utilizes it's own proprietary receiver-extension. It does, however, have two ambi-QD cups that can be mounted fore or aft on either side of the stock.

I actually have a UBR on my 20" and I love it, but my carbine is a bit front heavy because its M4 profile with a KAC non freefloat ras and an M951 light. I was considering another stock for that rifle to replace my standard tube with MOE.

Go with a sopmod and add batteries til you find that sweet spot in regards to balance.

I have the UBR on my sbr lower, I run it with a 10.5, 11.5, and (2) 12.5 inch upper and love it.

I havent used the Sully but it might be on my next rifle.

I have 3 Sully stocks and they are tough and weighty enough to balance a carbine nicely. They have no storage. I have added a DD A2 Burnsed loop with long screw to my Sullys. They go between the stock and lower. The Troy I belive wraps and bolts around the stock itself. Never tried a collapsible stock unfortunately.

Would you be able to post a pic of that setup, newyork? It sounds intriguing.

I own both. I used the Sully when I lived in NY (state AWB) but now have the UBR. The UBR is heavier, but not by much. I could dig out the Sully and put it on the scale.

If you're stuck in an AWB state the Sully is a great choice. After using the CTR and the UBR though, I'd never go back to a fixed stock.

I would love to know what position on the UBR that the length of the sully compares to, though.

Sully stock is 8 inches long. That is approximately the same length as the UBR fully collapsed.
