View Full Version : Noveske 16" Recce Chrome barrel Lo-Pro?
Any members own and if so, please provide opinions on reliability, build quality, etc. Also,do not see weight on website - heavy rifle?
Thanks for any input or providing other rifles to look at. Primary uses will be or shooting paper from 25-100 yards, plinking, and home defense.
I have the same rifle minus the low pro. Mines the standard N4 Recce (has standard handguards/no free float rail).
It is an exceptional weapon and is very accurate. This is a 5 shot group at 200 yards with just a front block rest using a 3 power ACOG. I dont get to shoot my rifle enough for me to get close to outshooting it.

Mine has been very reliable. Never had a failure to feed or eject. Had the trigger bind up on a windy sandstorm day when some gunk got in the lower reciever. Just opened it up and blew out the crap, shoulda noticed it when I slapped it together but Im stupid sometimes.
Other good rifles to look at are any flavor from BCM, Daniel Defense, KAC, LMT and Colt.
I just sold that exact rifle. I was 100% malfunction free and ran like a champ. I was doing around 1.25 MOA @100 with it.
I have the 16" Low Pro. I like it alot. I've put about 300 rounds through it so far using iron sights. Just picked up a leupold 1.5x5 scope for it, my eyes aren't what they used to be. I put a geissele ssa trigger in it, it's great!
Also looking at the LMT MRP CQB16 but seems heavier than I would like - will be able to handle/see the Noveske Sat.
I'd love to know the "exact" weight of this rifle too??
Have that upper. A bit heavier than I like, as a result of the SWS rail, so balanced it out with an ACS stock. Runs great. Never a malfunction, even without cleaning for over 700 rounds, trying to induce a malfunction. Runs 2-3 MOA with run of the mill 55 FMJ, which I think is standard for the ammo. Have not tried true "match" ammo. May get others, but will not sell this one.

I used that upper on my duty weapon for quite awhile, its a great upper.

Exactly my experience as well.
Just weighed mine.
N4 Low Pro Recce 16", Emod, MIAD, Vortex, Aimpoint comp ML3 in MI mount, XTM panels 3 sides full rail, Troy sights, Gas buster, ASAP plate= 8.8 lbs
Upper alone= 6.2 lbs
Upper W/O sight= 5.4 lbs
I don't shoot it enough since I've gone to SBRs. Might scope this one and use it for mid range shooting. Hope this helps
Until that day,
Darkop
Well, got a chance to handle/see etc Noveske lo pro - heavier than I think I would like - heavier than LMT CQB MRP 16 - at least to my feel,
Also got to handle/see LWRC M6A2 with 14.5 barrel - <$2k. So, with Noveske heavier than I want what are comments on following
LMT MRP CQB16 DI
LMT MRP CQB16 Piston
LWRC M6A2 with 14.5 barrel piston
or a Noveske with 14.5 barrel
Don't want to make this a DI vs short stroke piston issue - best bang for buck, reliability, quality, etc. Thnx

Thanks for the info. Don't want to get too off topic but does it list the weight of the VTAC Light Recce 16" Carbine in the catalog?
Thanks
