View Full Version : Colt MT6400C Bolt Carrier

Hello,

I just purchased a new Colt MT6400C and was wondering if it came with a M16 bolt carrier.

I have been going through old posts and noticed that older versions had a modified bolt but that Colt may have gone back to the M16 carrier.

Could some one clarify this for me. Carbine will be picked up this Friday.

Yes it comes with full auto bolt group, but not an M16. An M16 bolt carrier does not have forward assist serrations on the bolt carrier.

I think you are confusing some folks with ultra specific terminology, meaning, M16 does not equal M16A1 or M16A2/A4. Never thought of it that way, I guess. For those that are wondering, the A1/2/4's did have the assist notches on the carrier, FWIW.
