Hey all

If you change the color on your AR furniture (stock, grip, mag, handguard), does it really help to camo your weapon when it is in use by you? It seems to me that it wouldn't really make all that much of a difference. Your face covers some of the stock, and hand covers the grip and some handguard. I'm thinking of going for foliage green on the 14.5 middy I have planned but if it's not really all that big of a difference, I like the looks of black better.

By the way, the environments I'm talking about are urban and the terrain in the upper midwest. A lighter color sitting in the sun won't heat up as fast, either. Thanks!

1. furniture color is preference (my opinion)
2. if you want your gun camo'd, spray paint it.

Try using a lighter earth tone for the base, find some netting to help with pattern disruption.

For most shooters the color of the furniture is just personal preference.

However any solid color sticks out. It you can break out the outline with other colors it will blend better just about anywhere.
