So my new Duty pistol does not like to mate up with the X300.
I took one of my old 200's into the garage to see if I could change that. I ended up cutting the "P" picatinny plate reversing it and cutting about 1/4 inch off the back (now front) slotted it in backwards and it clicked into the first rail point on the HK45C. Secured it with ubiquitous ziptie. It does not move and is super solid infact better than my Dawson railguns ever were. Fits the Glock 21/X300 Safariland 6280 like a glove. Might not be pretty but its a work tool.:D

You'll get no lip from me. Form follows function in my world.

Kudos on an ingenious solution.

The ziptie, in particular is a nice WECSOG touch :P

Nice work. More detailed pics of the mods to make it work?

Nice work.

if you don't mind me asking is this for uniformed carry or no? any reason you didn't choose the full size hk 45?

Thanks guys. I will post a pic later of the Picatinny "mod":D

Uniformed carry, I carried the HK45 fullsize for about a year on Duty but its a large gun to carry off Duty. The HK45C is about the size of a G-19 and carries very well off duty. It has the Ten rounders now (pictured). Just needed to get the X300 onboard as I work graveyard.

Surefire was showing a smaller version of an X300 at SHOT -- wonder when that is coming out and if it will fit on the 45C?

I asked the same question in SMGLee's thread and I don't think I ever got an answer on it.

I am so hoping that SF will release a new internal plate for the X 300 light to work with the shorter rail on the 45C. I suppose there's not much hope but with a mil contract for a few hundred pistols maybe something will get released.

Isn't that how we got DG switches originally?

The "DG" was NAVSPECWAR(D)EV(G)RU...................I believe.
Therefore we might get a lucky, based on the track record. Meanwhile its back to my German imported hostile environment $5zipties:D

I'm hoping that Safariland will make an ALS for the HK45c. If they do, I will probably get one.

Nice work Limey.

Looks good. But I'm curious about the your 10 rnd. mag in the picture. The HK 10 rounders I have for my 45c, have a rubber type of base pad, did you use a different base pad of hard plastic so that you could stipple it?

They are a hybrid plastic/rubber. I cut the front off and then stippled.

I can vouch for how rock solid the set up is. I was holding it by the SureFire and shaking it up and down with zero movement.

Those 10 rounders have just been modified by Limey, like everything else he owns, with a soldering iron. The man makes magic with hard plastics and soldering irons. His work on Glocks is fantastic!

Thanks for the pics. Looks good.

I'm looking forward to the new Surefire as I think it wil be a nice edition to my nightstand G19.

The ubiquitous zip tie, solving issues for years. Gotta love it.

Hard to tell, but if you didn't, trim that zip off FLUSH. Otherwise, Murphy pretty much guarantees that the pokey end will do something fun eventually.

Pretty slick setup Limey. Glad you were able to make everything work.
