I am looking for a .22cal rimfire conversion to put on my Glock 17 and G22 and plan on shooting at 25yds and want trouble free. Out of all the brand name conversion on the market which one is the Best one?

I have excellent luck with my AA conversions. They must be kept well lubricated, and benefit from regular cleaning, but they run well for me.

The offering from Advantage Arms is the one that has been on the market the longest. By most reports it works very well. I'm very pleased with mine. It's been accurate and as reliable as one can reasonably expect such a device to be.

I am also very happy with the Advantage Arms .22 conversion kit. I have had zero issues with mine and it is very accurate. Run quality ammo such as CCI Mini Mags, keep it lubed and it will run 100%.

My Glock 17 AA kit runs well with Remington Golden Bullets, it won't run on Federal 550 round packs from WalMart.

I've been having trouble with my new tac-sol kit. I'm waiting for the new firing pin assembly that is suppose to fix the light strike issues.

I have had a AA conversion since right after they were released. Around 2001 or 2002 I think. I don't remember how many rounds I have through it and since they incorporated some of my ideas in their magazine redesign I seldomly have any problems. I have only used Remington Goldens and other than the usual dud rounds as long as I clean it after 550 or so rounds it is pretty boringly reliable.

I usually shoot a little rimfire flip target (the one that flips up 4 and you shoot the top to drop them) at around 15 or so yards and I pretty much either flip them or at least clip them with every round fired. 1" or 2" squares I think.

Lots of fun and very useful at building muscle memory.

Looks the best on paper. Same function as stock gun and drop safety.

Very fussy with ammo: Rem Golden Bullets (in the flat boxes not walmart packs) or Mini Mags (at rip off prices nowadays) nothing else. FTF, FTE all the time; at least one per mag. FTLB frequently. Poor quality mag feed lips. I have pics of additional live rounds shooting out the top of the ejection port during cycling all the time. Needs constant and thorough cleaning every 300 rounds or so to even work or it gets so gummed up to jamb 30% of the time, maybe 500 rounds if your lucky. Slide wears rather quickly in area in contact with barrel block due to aluminum construction even with heavy lubing.

Perhaps a dry fire regime may be much more productive than this frustration in the long run.

That said I still have gotten benefit from the AA kit.

Ciener and Tactical Solutions (very pricey) also make kits. The new KWA ATP Airsoft trainer (coming soon) and the NEXT SIRT Training Pistol (laser trainer) may in fact be more useful on a daily training basis.

Anyone have anymore updates on .22 conversion kits for Glock 17's.
I have an Old ruger 22/45 that I mainly use, but I am looking for the simplicity of the Glock for Cheap training.

Advantage Arms,
Ciener
Tactical Solutions.

What ammo do you use in your kit? Any ammunition that is more problematic than others?

Another thumbs up on the AA conversion. I bought one several years ago for my G22 and have NEVER had a single issue with it at all except for the sub par accuracy as compared to my aging MK11 Ruger bull barrel. Other than tht I have absolutely no issues.

I picked up an Advantage Arms kit a few months ago. I'm only sorry I hadn't done it much sooner. Great piece of gear.

I have been very pleased with my AA kit for my G17. I liked it do much I gave a G17 kit to one buddy and a G19 kit to another. They also love their AA kits.

I use the 550 carton of Remington golden bullets that I pick up at Walmart for about $20. Hard to beat it

I'd really like one of these but can't find them anywhere except on Gunbroker, who's flagged my account for some reason...

Rogers Shooting school stopped using their AA kits a while back because they wouldn't run.

Then again they also shoot their guns.

A Ruger MK isn't a .22cal conversion for a Glock!

A 22LR pistol is currently an expensive paper weight.

There is no 22LR practice ammo to be found...anywhere.

After waiting 6 months for a TacSol conversion kit, I cancelled my order and picked up an AA kit and havent looked back. Mine runs well with Wolf MT and CCI MM's.
