Use good mags and ammo, know how to check and adjust the extractor tension, and you'll probably be OK.

I have three newer model Colt 1911's...a blue srs. 70 reissue, XSE SS commander and the New Agent...I cannot get any of 'em to jam with anything I've fed...including lead SWC...I for one am very happy with the performance.

This is very similar to my recent Colt purchases -- Combat Commander XSE and New Agent.

Both have been gold in terms of accuracy and reliability with a variety of fmj and jhp ammo.

I like to run them pretty wet and use Wilson 47D mags, BTW.

I think your new Colt will be just fine Dave. Give us a range report when you can. :)

Jam is what you put on buttered toast.....or sometimes a bagel.....

If you lube it right and use good mags, it shouldn't malfunction on you.

Love it when Pat R or Mike H yells at people for calling it a jam.

Lube it and run it hard. Keep it well lubed like you AR.

If I could do it all again I would have got a NM serial number Mil-Spec.
But the Colt XSE has everything I want except the series 80 FPS,
its cool it says colt on there too...
