I currently use a Harris HB5 (http://www.harrisbipods.com/HB5.html) on my stock handguard for bipod mounting. I like it a lot.

I am thinking of getting a MOE handguard, but am not keen to add rail and another rail-mount adaptor, etc.. before I can use a bipods. Can I use the HB2 in a MOE Handguard?

I suspect I may need to drill a hole on the MOE for the stud base, but not sure how secure/stable the end result is ..

Another idea is the Harris HB2 (http://www.harrisbipods.com/HB2.html) that I can flip the base plate upside down so that the narrower thread can pass thru the slot on the MOE handguard. But I am unsure if there is anything to hold the base plate in the inside of the MOE to stop it from "walking" along the slot.

Anyone has done this before? What other options are available without using combination of rail and rail-mount? pls shed some light... Thank you!
