My carbine is a M-4 (16") with an A2 stock and standard handguards. I like the A2 because it give me a solid cheekweld. I'm 6'4" (5'-16") with a long neck and long arms so I have no problems with the A2's length. The standard handguards are much more comfortable in my hands than the rails. I'm looking for a good way to set up a two point for training class and other stuff.
My current thoughts are a Vickers Combat type sling but I'm struggling with the terminal connections. I know I can get a Burnsed plate from BLue Force and others that mounts between the butt stock and the receiver end. I already have a HK hook that mounts the same way. The front end is slightly more confusing...I've seen front sight tower mounts that are a short piece of pic rail on ones side and a sling loop on the other. There is the Mag pull UWL 3" and 6" Around the tower? over the Delta ring? and I'm sure there are other ways to do this.
What are your recommendations and the plusses or minuses given my current hardware configuration.

Just FYI, the UWL is also from Blue Force Gear, not Magpul.

I will defer on answering the question since I have no experience doing what you need to do.

I would buy a Magpul handguard and get a IWC QD mount for the front and then buy the Tango Down A2 sling mount for the rear. If you did not want to switch out your handguards then a burnsed loop for the rear and the BFG 3” EWL around the front sight base would work well.

Also by going to the Magpul handguards you could also use one of IWCs light mounts should you ever wish to add a light to your rifle.

Images are hotlinked.

In the front you could do something like this

Or you can use an add on rail section on the bottom of your handguards and that will give numerous options.
