Is this gas key properly staked?

looks pretty well staked to me. There appears to be good contact between the steel from the gas key and the bolt heads. What brand/where did you get it from?

I got it as a carrier only from a local shop/manufacturer. He claimed it was a DPMS but I am not for sure...
if coming from an unknown source, and you're wanting reliability, i'd pull it, clean it up, re-seal, re-torque, and re-stake.
or... http://www.gandrtactical.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=GRT-M16C&reference=/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi%3Fsearch%3Daction%26keywords%3Dcarrier%26searchstart%3D0%26template%3DPDGCommTemplates/FullNav/SearchResult.html and not have to **** with it.

It's a brand new carrier...I was just concerned about the staking. The staking looked alright, but not ad good as my Colt.
Here's what I would do. Lock it into a vise. Put a hex bit on them and see how easily they break loose. I have done it with some of "those" brands and they weren't properly tightened and the screws were able to move.
Especially since it is supposed to be a DPMS.

as gunz said, even new, they're not really trustworthy... hence my suggestion.
The screw heads look small, to boot.
