Anyone know where to snag one of these? I've been combing the net and every website is out of stock. Gun broker has them up from time to time but they usually go for a bit higher than what I've seen. My local dealers say they sell em for $595 but cant get them in stock either. Anyone know of a land where AAC-SDs flow like wine?

I bought mine from budsgunshop.com in December for $595. I set up an account and requested notification when in stock. I bought it the day I got the email that it was in stock.

In retrospect, I would have been perfectly happy with a 26" SPS Varmint. I honestly think the 1:10" twist and threaded barrel is way over-rated unless you're planning on using a sound suppressor with 5/8-24 threads, 200+ gr. sub-sonic ammunition, or a non-directional muzzle brake. If you plan on using a brake that needs to be timed such as Badger or AAC adapter, you will need a gunsmith to time it anyway. Threading a barrel is an easy task for any decent gunsmith. Also, I don't think a 26" 1:12 twist barrel has any problems stabilizing 168 or 175 gr. bullets. If you just have to have the 20" barrel, you can always buy the regular 20" SPS Tactical. Mine shoots 175 gr. FGMM @ ~2535 FPS vs. 2600 FPS (factory spec).

Ironically, the only thing that's factory on mine is the barreled action and bottom metal.

I have been searching HARD for the last two months and have not been able to locate one. In that time I have acquired a AICS 2.0 and a Nightforce 3.5x15 with the intended purpose of building up a Remington ACC-SD. I want one bad.

There are two versions. One with a 'gray camo' Hogue stock and a threaded muzzle 5/8"x28TPI w/thread protector and One with a black Hogue stock with a 51T AAC 762 Blackout mount. Both have 20" 1x10 twist barrels.

Question is how many of each do you have in stock? :D

I have seen them around everywhere for around 589.00 to 649.00 usually with one or 2 on the shelves. It is nice but my personal opinion is the Remington 700 LT .308 20" 1-10 twist, does not have as nice a stock but most pull them as soon as they get them. It is much lighter and can have a good smith thread it for around 50.00. Just my opinion.

If you are talking about the 700 Police LTR you are wrong on 3 counts:
1. It is 1:12 twist
2. It is slightly heavier as per Remington's web site:
Remington SPS Tactical AAC-SD 7.3 pounds
Remington 700 Police LTR 7.5 pounds
3. And the LTR has a better (HS Precision) stock than the SPS (Hogue), not the other way around.

ETA: The SPS Tac is the better way to go, IMO, especially if you are going to change the stock anyway. Why pay the considerable extra $ for the HS Precision, only to replace it?

In addition to the H-S stock, the LTR also has a fluted barrel and parkerized finish vs. the matte blue finish of the SPS.

What I was talking about is the SPS LT it has a 1-10 twist fluted 20" barrel it was a limited edition run. They can still be found for a good deal on GB. You could say it is still a SPS tactical since right on the barrel it says light tactical and boy does it weigh less than the standard sps tactical.

Do you have any more info on this limited edition run? Thanks.
