View Full Version : Good deal on Aimpoint?
Hey all!
Do you think this is the real thing? So far it seems good. I purchased a Magpul DVD from them off amazon but they were out of stock so said they would give me special pricing on any item including this one, although I'm not sure what the pricing will be. The seller said he bought them straight from Aimpoint, bulk packed because they were supposed to go to a military unit. The unit canceled. So far all the feedback from the guy seems good, even ones from people who purchased eotechs from him. Thanks in advance. I did ask if they could provide me a serial number to check out.

I love good deal... in fact, my livelihood revolves around good deals.
BUT.. If it were me (and you know it's your money not mine), I'd spend the extra 10% or so and buy from a vendor on this site (like GandRtactical), and be able to sleep at night, knowing your money went to a good guy, and you are absolutely going to receive exactly what you ordered, authentic, timely, etc etc..
To me (again, your cash, not mine) the extra 10% is worth not having to worry about whether or not I'm getting scammed in one way or another.

I sent an email to Aimpoint containing the link and telling the story. The units apparently have no box (bulk packed) so idk. And, unless I am mistaken, there is no serial number on the side next to "Micro T-1". I want to know what special pricing is.
AltaTac has a pretty impressive reliability rating. They're an Amazon fulfillment reseller and have over 800 transactions with a 97% "good" rating.

Better pricing for OEM packaging is pretty common - Larue does it too, for example. It's how I bought my last Aimpoint from them...it came in a plastic bag with driver and docs just as shown on AltaTec's website. Speaking of Larue, don't forget you'll need a mount for your T-1.

That's what I was thinking too... And he has the serial number photoshopped out (you can see the gray marks on his ebay listing pictures). I've already been looking at mounts lol. Larue and DD are the two front runners.

The bulk packed units like that one do have a serial number and are recognized and treated by Aimpoint the same as any other if warranty service should be required.

Thanks for the replies. I did not get the T-1. The special price wasn't really anything too special and I still have to pay for another upper and vacation in a month haha. Damn guns trying to make me spend money.

He accepted an offer slightly less than the $495 posted (shipped, mind you). I am slated to get it tomorrow. I will post pics when it gets here.
I'm expecting it not to come with a box (i.e., OEM packaging), but it will come with everything else except a mount. After ordering, their communication was excellent and they updated me with UPS tracking and so on.

That is a sweet deal on a T-1! Add a ADM mount and it is GTG...
I bought my Trijicon RMR from them last year and was very happy with their communication and service. I got it from their eBay store... wouldn't hesitate to buy anything from them again.
Turns out I also got my Magpul Moe stock from them too on Amazon... didn't realize that at first. So that is two sales I was really happy with.
