I'm looking for the smallest lockable hard case available to carry my Glock 17 and two clips inside my luggage when flying. So far most of the hard cases I have found are way too thick thus taking up too much room inside my suitcase. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Maybe a Nanovault? It fits my 1911 and they say its TSA approved.

I used a small pelican camera case to fly with my glock 26. If you search around you can find pelican cases with the pluckable foam interior for ~30 bucks. They come in a ton of different sizes.
the case i have actually allows me to stack both my glock 26 and glock 19 and carry 3 mags. It's very compact. Be sure to use 2 padlocks so no one can pry the case open at a corner.

+1 on the Pelican.

This is the one I use for a G19 and a G26 at the same time, I don't think you would have any difficulty fitting a G17 in one either but for a few $'s more there are similar models with more room.
