I've been looking for full size mags for my new M&P9 but everyone and I mean everyone seems to be out.

Does anyone know what the problem is? I even researched here and hit all the links suggested and everyone is out of stock. (I have not bothered to call Botach Tactical as they got some bad comments by previous site members).

You guys really want me to buy a glock don't you!

I would second the notion to buy from Grant at G&RTactical.com, if he has some in stock. I usually check Grant first, as he's not only price competitive, but he'll usually answer questions in email if you're buying guns or not sure which parts you need.

Regarding Botach I too have read/heard some of the comments but I have ordered over fifteen mags for my 9c, FS 357sig and 45 and they have all been delivered within four or five days of the order. The key to dealing with them is to make sure the product is in stock. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

They have 1 store in Texas and it is in Austin.

Although others have had problems with Botach, I have not. I have placed 3 orders for M&P mags and everything worked. But I didn't need them tomorrow and I didn't mind waiting. I received 2 of my orders in just a couple of days and had to wait until they restocked on the 3rd. No big deal to me. You won't find a better price if you aren't in a hurry.

I dunno if it is related to the AZ deal or not. Other Manufactures have their magazines out. I'm getting a bit of buyers remorse. Can't do IPSC with 2 mags. Heck, there are some IDPA COF that I cannot do without 3 mags.

I heard a rumor (and please do NOT take this as gospel) that S&W had production problems. I have not been able to confirm this, but there is something very odd going on as it seems to be very specific to the M&P 9. The 40s are still around as are the 14 round 45s. Wish I knew what was going on.

I sent SW an email last week about the mags and inquiring about how to get a a replacement back strap. Heard nothing back so far.

I'll try Bo-tach, but I'm not confident.

I eventually got some from Dunns sporting goods via a tip from arfcom and the mp forums. Also it appears that 44mag has them back in stock.

I got to try my new M&P 9 and it is wicked accurate for me. Im in love with this thing

I have a standing order with Botach for 20+ mags. I placed the order December 13th, 2010. Every month I'm told "early next month". Luckily I don't need them, mostly grabbing a bunch for stash/buddies since Botach has them far cheaper than elsewhere.

IOW...don't bother with Botach unless you don't need them for a looooong time.

I couldn't ever find them in stock anywhere online. I got lucky and found a local store that had 5 in stock so I got all 5 of them. They said they had no idea when they could get more in.

Does anyone know what makes the NJ mags limit to 15 rounds?
I'm wanting to buy a few extra mags and put the Arredondo mag extender on there and I was wondering if the NJ complaint mags would still limit my capacity by 2.

They should also work in the M&P9C. However, the base pads of the standard length M&P magazines protrude in the front a lot but that should not affect function.

FWIW....i use the 17 rd mags at the range. I've had no problem after 500 rds using the 9C. I keep the 17 rd mags on my belt as a reload. just my $0.02 worth.

Just a heads up, the magazines shipping now are the newer style S&W magazines with the square hole in the base plate. If you plan on using the 10-8 Performance metal base pads you'll have to order the original style stamped steel retainer plate.

I bought some from .44mag Friday and they arrived today. Shipped the same day. No complaints here.

They do have the square hole.

(I suspect supplies started running short, probably for the reasons Grant mentioned, and the panic buying and hoarding started. They'll get caught up.)

If g and r tatical run out.You may want to try B and H gun rack in FL. They had them awhile back not sure about now. Or lawmens in NC you will have to call both of them since they don't price and show stock online:confused:.

I have a tendency to smack the mag into the gun pretty hard. I would have the base plates slip off and spring rounds all over the ground. I ended up putting a little black RTV on the round hole of the base plate and rear of the plate where it meets the magazine body. The latest magazines I got have the new style square hole base plate so Im hoping i don't have to "Glue" the mags together any more. Anyone have the same problem?
