I purposely bought a heavier "snubbie' GP101 2 inch Ruger as a summer/BUG.

I see a lot of recommendations on 38 +P but not a lot on .357 Mag. I haven't had much trouble with .357, so if there is an advantage, I'd like to make the most of it.

I've done some searching, and there are loads designed for 2 inch barrels--is there terminal ballistics on these? Recommended .357 loads for a 2 inch barrel?

Or are they pretty much the same as a "normal" 4inch + barrel.

Speer Gold Dot short barrel load is designed to work from a snubby. Exterior ballistics from a sub 2" barrel aren't great, but .357 still has an advantage over .38.

Gold Dot short barrel, or DPX are my choices.

Silvertip ain't bad either.

I dont think there is enough gain to go with the blast and flash and such I would just use a 38 +p out of it
