.243 Upper

I am looking at an Armalite .243 upper. It is unfired, but made in 2001. Anything I should be looking for? Is it compatible with new Armalite lowers?

It will go right on your Armalite AR10. The only thing to consider in buying this upper / barrel is the twist rate and what weight of bullet you want to shoot. I think you are probably looking at a barrel with a 1:10 twist so depending on atmospheric conditions you may be able to shoot up to a 95 grain bullet.
